This is a hidden gem within the beaver creek resort. Unfortunately, we found this restaurant on our very last night in town. I have been let down lately by yelp reviews given by those born without a palette, those who give McDonald's 4 stars. This restaurant deserved all 5 stars. We ordered the Korean bbq taco, ricotta flat bread, pulled pork taco, chicken satay and chocolate chip bread pudding. They were all fantastic! Joe was our server and he was beyond amazing. He was spot on on the menu and wine selection (we had the self serve wine- a must try). Fantastic service. Thank you for a wonderful meal. I would recommend to anyone.

The bacon wrapped dates and Manhattan drink were some of the best I have ever had. The service was excellent. The tacos were good, but not great.
(4)Dina O.
Great selection of food and service was perfect. Food was just very salty. Had the potatoes, pork cheeks, short ribs and sprouts. Way to salty.
(4)Ashley D.
Loved this place! The food was amazing and service even better!! We enjoyed our experience from start to finish. They also have a wine vending machine, which was awesome!

Finally scored a nice place for dinner in Beaver Creek! The Met is a nice place to chill out. Relaxed atmosphere and great service. Nice selection of wine-by-the-glass and unique offering of tapas to choose from. Ordered: Korean BBQ Short Ribs - tender, juicy and nicely balanced with Apple carrot slaw, Pulled Pork Taco - nice size portion, meaty and flavorful, Colorado Braised Short Ribs - winner for the night, a little pricey but worth a taste. Flavor was rich, deep and supported by a nice sweet potato/russet potato puree (went well with our wine), Simple Caesar - salad was best I have had in a long time, not over powered with gloppy dressing. It had a light house-made dressing that was on bottom of plate so you could determine how much you wanted, nicely done. Prices were a tad high but you are in a resort/ski town.

Absolutely AMAZING experience. Spent 3 hours eating and drinking at the Metropolitan last Friday night (6/5/15) with 2 of my girlfriends. Our server (wish I could remember her name) was so attentive and sweet. We ended up ordering the cheese plate (some of the best cheese I've ever eaten), the Brussels sprouts (words cant do it justice), lobster tacos (yum!!!), pork arepa taco (didnt try this but my friend loved it), the ahi tuna poke (again, didn't try this but my ahi tuna snob of a friend enjoyed it), and the chocolate bread pudding (we ended up taking it back to our hotel room so we could it eat (and make as many satisfied noises as we wanted) in private). We each got a $20 wine card and sampled a good amount of the red wines. The waitress also brought us each a complimentary glass of Rose (it was my friends birthday celebration) AND the chef learned of our love of Manchengo cheese and brought us out a separate plate of it for free. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Will DEFINITELY be back next time I'm in Beaver Creek.

The Met is a unique and fun restaurant located in the middle of Beaver Creek's businesses. They were very accommodating when we had to delay our arrival from the time we had reserved, and were very friendly once we arrived. I like their wide ranging menu with a nice selection of tapas options. They have a full bar. The dress is casual. I really was impressed with their toilets. First of all there are two buttons, one for No.1 and another for No.2, as a means of saving water. But even more impressive was something that I've never seen before but makes a lot of sense. There is a small sink on top of the toilet's tank, with a soap dispenser. You wash your hands with clean water, but the used water drains into the toilet's tank to be used for flushing the toilet. This is genius!!! The restaurant has a casual atmosphere but the food is top quality. There is a parking deck in the complex, which makes it convenient if you want to drive there from Avon, or another nearby location. When you enter the "manned" gated entrance just tell the attendant that you are dining at The Met and they will waive you in. Enjoy!!!

First off, they no longer open for breakfast. Food is great, had the lobster tacos and crab cakes and both were really good. The rabbit ragout was some of the best gnocchi my wife and I have ever had. If you like gnocchi, you must try the rabbit. We ended with the prosciutto and ricotta on flat bread and that was really good as well. A really fun atmosphere with lots of variety for great food.
(5)Amy G.
Excellent!take a tour of world flavor on their menu. don't miss the stuffed dates and piquillo peppers!
(4)Kinsy K.
Amazing! Fantastic service, decent price and AWESOME food! I practically rolled out of here :)
(5)Kristina W.
Such a fun addition to Beaver Creek. We went in with a group and were a bit hesitant at first because it looked urban and modern (just not what one might expect in a ski village), but every small plate we ordered was fantastic and the wine tasting option was a fun twist. Very inventive and good cocktail menu. Small plates actually were quite large and provided a lot of delicious food.

Went in for 2014 NYE dinner and drink. Was very pleased with the server and the meal we ordered was not had bad, but this review is based solely on the racial comment the Manager, Kenny made while standing near our table. As my fiancé and I were eating our dinner sipping on champaign,I overheard Kenny, the manager of The Metropolitan say to a staff member "hey, my two big Mexican groups just walked in, keep an eye on them". Regardless of his affiliation to the group I was immediately offended, and not just because of the comment, but because my fiancé is Hispanic. Needless to say, both my fiancé and I lost our appetite. When the waitress tasked me if everything was okay? I told her what we had just overheard, she was quite shocked, and asked if I wanted to speak with the manager himself about it, I said yes. I made sure when he came by to apologize just how distasteful his comment was and how offended we were. I'm sure he meant the apology but whether or not he learned anything by his ignorant comment I'll never know. We sure as heck won't EVER go back, fascist pig!

This place is the bomb! Came here for dinner and drinks before a show at Villar with 9 people. The food was incredible! And the desserts were even better! The flourless chocolate cake was the best I've ever had! Pork anything is good, lobster tacos has a ton of lobster, deviled eggs were delic!!!
(5)Suzanne R.
What a great place! Stopped in for tapas at an off peak time. Server was super nice even though I had 2 kids (4 and 2) in our party. Both servers engaged and welcomed them in and brought us crayons. This doesn't look like a kid place, so we really appreciated that! The pork tacos were great (and we're from TX so that's a real compliment). The kids meatballs were a bit spicy for them, but the adults ate them. Deviled eggs were good and there were six of them. Apparently they change the toppings periodically. I liked the bacon and goat cheese the best. The satay was my least favorite item. It was just chicken on as stick, but the peanut dipping sauce made up for it. Great experience!
(4)Doug C.
Fantastic food! The best in Beaver Creek, and the best value. You HAVE to eat here. The Korean tacos are great as are the pork and the lobster ones. Also, try the meatballs. All excellent.
(5)Andrea C.
I might even consider it the best option at Beaver Creek. If you want to enjoy something a little more stylish and fancy, go to The Metropolitan. Also, it's quiet and not crowded (luckily!).
(4)Sarah L.
Didn't have a reservation for another restaurant so we went here. There was a rabbit pasta dish that tasted like Chef Boyardee. Tried a whole bunch of stuff, some was OK at best - lobster roll but was tiny. My boyfriend mentioned that it was my Birthday several times and we didn't get any service, the waiter kept helping a large table with wine and drinks. I love all the Beaver Creek restaurants but this one I will never go back to.
(1)Nandish R.
We came here walking around in the village, very hungry. The place is simple, with our server, amazing Emily, who was polite and very funny. Food was very falvorful and environment was relaxing. I think a must go
(4)Lindsey S.
Way, way, WAY beyond expectations! First off, I was super stoked that this place was in top form in the late spring season. After I convinced my skeptical meat and potatoes husband to try the "exotic what's-a-tapa?" place, the first thing that blew my socks off was the drink menu. We had the pleasure of meeting the bar manager and she provided great recommendations. I had the white sangria and the jalapeño-cilantro-cucumber-tequila cocktail. Then came the food. Wholly Molley. We ordered a bunch (don't judge). First, lamb kofta meatballs: savory with a great lamb-ey, gaminess at the end. My husband and I agree these were are favorite. Then an assortment of deviled eggs 3-ways (blue cheese, bacon, jalapeño?) which had a good kick of mustard-vinegar to keep them not too heavy. Then came the lobster rolls. Really good balance of lobster and a tomato-onion salsa. Next came the ahi poke. I'm a sucker for poke, and being a former Hawaii resident, standards are high. This poke was great! Yeah, yeah, insert land locked state joke here...but it was really something else! Flavors were fresh and came with warm tortilla chips. Not your Outback Steakhouse version of poke. Finally, Maryland crab cakes. Damnnnn. Sauce game was on point, and legit amounts of crab. We couldn't complement this place enough. Gold medal, five stars, champions cup, blue ribbon. Try this place out--Fantastic for a date night!

Wow. All I can say is Wow. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The Met hits it out of the park on all counts: Food - Her majesty and I had the short ribs, the lobster tacos and the scallops and all were unbelievably good. The Met also has a full, very reasonably priced bar with excellent specialty cocktails and a really interesting wine machine. It is essentially a wine ATM where you buy a debit card and then can serve yourself quarter, half or full glasses of a large variety of different high end wines. Service - They actually lost our reservation but quickly found us a very nice table next to the window. Kudos to both the hostess and the waitstaff as everyone was prompt, polite and did their jobs well despite the fact that they were battling a plumbing issue. They actually came by several times to apologize for delays that we did not even notice they were having. Ambience - Beautiful place conveniently located in the village with both tables and some large, club style booths that would be a great Apres ski place for a group of 6 to 8 people. Very comfortable and romantic for couples as well. The only negative I can think of is that we did not find the Met until our last evening as we would definitely have gone back if we had found it earlier. A can't miss place.
(5)Cassia C.
Ordered 12 things in our group. Everything was amazing! Loved the dates, the neat wine machine, the lobster taco, the bread pudding! It was all stellar. Fun atmosphere too. Will eat here again!
(5)MC C.
The new "M" or the "Met" as some locals call it serves up some mighty savory small plate offerings at fairly reasonable prices. Love the various seating & table options - both inside and out. Staff knowledgeable and helpful with wine selections. Also love the desserts.
(4)Joel F.
This place gives a fresh set of flavors to the village. Crafty cocktails, a great beer selection, and good service. This is what anyone looks for! Menu: Truly a shareable tapas style "taste it all" type experience. Generally you'll get flavor over quantity. I favored the chorrizo on date marszcapone... NICE. Drink selection: Fresh ingredients make for tasty drinks. Go Figure. They a creative without being WEIRD. I am a beer person, and there were some names I had never heard before... and really like. I had one out of Canada I can't remember the name of, but it was tasty! Pricing: Standard for the area o food, drinks were better than average. Service: Fun and high energy on our visit. Note: The wine machine looked cool for sampling, but it wasn't working. I am in the technology business, but sometimes a person is what you need instead!
(4)Ceejinator Z.
Delicious! The beet salad with pesto was so fresh, then the rabbit ragout gnocchi was to die for. To top off our carb overload, bread pudding that melted in our mouths! Definitely check this place out. A+
(5)Damon S.
Definite great addition to the Beav! Great for apri ski and worth the short walk from the slopes. Unreal food as many others have stated. The lobster tacos are almost overflowing with Lobster (Maine). Went there three times for apri ski and tried most the menu with no disappointments. The daily apri ski wine specials are very good and reasonably priced. Didn't use the "Enomatic" but it looked like a cool way of trying different types of wine from the reasonably priced to the very high end (Opus One is dispensed out of it if you want it!). The decor is modern but as others have noted inviting. I like sitting in the couch/lounge area along the far wall. Friendly staff and the chief, Eric Berggren was super nice at coming out and explaining how he cooks various items on the menu and what ingredients are used. Recommend and will return.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Metropolitan, and it was such a great place! Alissa, the event manager was totally accommodating to all of our needs and wants. We had a tasting there a month before our dinner where she helped us pick out all of the food, and it was so delicious. They have this really cool wine refrigerator where guests can taste any wine they want. It was like a soda machine but with wine in it. It made the party so much fun and everyone loved it! Everyone told me how great the food was (my favorite and my husband's favorite was the duck confit, the bacon wrapped dates, and if you love cheesecake, they have the best cheesecake that I have ever tasted there), and how much they loved the restaurant. We could not have picked a better place for our rehearsal dinner.
(5)Kelsey S.
A group of nine women went for dinner and this was the absolute perfect place. We sat in one of the round booths and ordered 12 different tapas. I can't even suggest a favorite because they were all so delicious. The mixed drinks were fun and the wine was good. Perfect place for a girls night out.
(5)Nela D.
we had dinner here and it was very good. we started with the meat and cheese board then moved on to the tapas. bacon wrapped dates, pulled pork tacos, a scallop special, and soup special were good. Beets and goat cHesse just okay. we missed the lobster tacos as we were too full. drinks were excellent (try the jalapeno margarita if you like a drink with some kick). service was also excellent and very attentive.
(4)Shelly H.
My husband and I loved our meals. Our favorite was the employees that worked there. They made our vacation dining a memory we will never forget. From the manager to the bar tender the wait staff even the cooks. I would say this is one place you have to try. Thanks to the staff for the great food and hospitality.
(5)Rhea T.
Love this place! Had our rehearsal dinner here in October. The staff was amazing but the food is the reason you keep going!!! The executive chef Stephen is a mastermind! I will always come here when I'm in Beaver Creek!
(5)Katianna C.
The breakfast was good! Ordinary food, you're paying for the fact that it's in BC but the Chai tea was delicious!
(3)Andy G.
Really nice wine bar in the Beaver Creek Village development. Lobster tacos were awsome. The automated wine dispenser was a lot of fun, even if two of us went through $60 worth of wine in no time. Lots of space, but then again this was off season.
(4)Rahel K.
Very cool, very hip, very unique tapas bar in Beaver Creek Village. The decor is loft-like with brick walls and large, open couch booths with pull-up tables and cowhide stools. You do have the option of the traditional bar tops in the center. We were instantly lured into the wine "Enomatic" in the center. You buy a card and can purchase various sized and types of wines through an automatic circular dispenser. We were sold on the gimmick and bought over $100 worth of wine tastings. We even bought a splash (literally) of Opus One. Some of the tapas were over-the-top good. We loved the tuna tartar and the mushrooms. Order this. Order 2 of each. Other tapas were decent - the pork tacos were served cold and the scallops were mushy. What impressed me the most was how fresh everything was. A member of our party has an onion allergy so they made her fresh guacamole sans onion. Our waitress and the manager were very accommodating and overall we were very pleased. Even though this place just opened 2 months ago and still has some tweaking to do, I think it should do very well in the village.

A very nice addition to the Village in Beaver Creek. The wine bar has a trendy, but laid back feel. The front is a little modern, but the exposed brick makes it feel like a wine bar. The other side is a little more modern with leather lounges and tables. The two surprisingly work together. So you have the choice of sitting at the bar, high top tables in the front, or the leather couches in the back. While they do have a full bar, the selection of wine and beer is very nice. The restaurant has an "enomatic," which is a self serve wine bar. You put money on a wine card and then have a choice of sixteen different wines (8 white and 8 reds). It looked pretty cool, but you can also order off the wine list. The food is pretty good too, but portions are small, so if you hungry for a big meal to replenish after skiing all day, this might not be the place for you. The espanola flatbread was very good and so was the chicken satay. The pulled pork tacos and bruschetta were good, but not amazing. Overall a good atmosphere with good drink and food. While the service was nice and pleasant, she was a little flaky.
(4)Luke F.
We went for breakfast and had great service over the holiday weekend. The breakfast burrito was more like a wrap and needed some heat, the fruit yogurt parfait and the kiesh were excelent. They also serve dazbog coffee. Really just a great high level of service from the local staff! Thanks!
(5)Steven M.
This spot is downstairs from the popular Dusty Boot. In fact, it's owned by the same restaurant group. But it couldn't be more different: nice vibe, great urbanish decor, solid service, and a wide variety on the menu. At dinner, they specialize in tapas. They run $7-$12 each. Order two per person if you're hungry. We had deviled eggs three ways (mediocre), tuna with wonton chips (yum), scallops grilled (nice), and the artichoke/chorizo flatbread (so-so). Service was friendly. We sat in a comfortable, cosmopolitan booth. There are high top tables and a few along the windows. Oh ... and the wine list was great and reasonable for Beaver Creek.
(4)Alexis C.
Wonderful food, atmosphere and service to match! We had the pork tacos, stuffed pequillo peppers and the bacon wrapped dates, all were fantastic. Try the cheesecake. Yum!
(5)Greg R.
Oustanding Tapas and a great wine selecttion by the glass !
(5)Jayson S.
Great addition to Beaver Creek.Every bite delicious. Highly recommend all lobster items including the lobster tacos, the pork belly, the deviled eggs (especially with blue cheese), and the fried balsamic potato chips. Of course a great wine selection, by the glass or by the bottle.
(5)John H.
We loved the menu and everything we tried. It is a true tapas place which is fun to try different thing. The portions were still pretty good for the selections we chose. We had 5 drinks, 4 tapas style dishes and a large dessert and the bill was $95 before tip (2 people). For all that we ate, I think it was very reasonable. The staff were very friendly and helpful (however the place was not busy so they had time to spare). This will be a place we will always come when we are in BC.
(5)D M.
What is so wonderful about Metropolitan is it is different. The atmosphere is modern with couch type seating. It is tapas food with a variety that makes men and women happy. The staff is great and the drinks are potent. I recommend highly.
(5)Vikki F.
My husband and I went there prior to a concert at the Villar Performing Arts Center. We sat at a communal table and met the best group of people. The manager and the staff were excellent. They knew that we had to be to the show by 7:30 and they were very timely with their food service and getting us the bill . We were so relaxed in the atmosphere of the restaurant. I recommend the lobster stuffed mushrooms and the tuna tar tare. It is the perfect place to go apres ski, before a show, or lunch.
(4)Jerome L.
Great friendly, hip tapas restaurant in heart of Beaver Creek Village. We went to The Metropolitan five times during our week stay here. The tapas are creative, delicious and well-portioned. We liked the spicy avocado dip; modern nachos, pulled pork tacos and chicken satay. Spanish spicy meatballs are to die for. Great wine selection including a unique flight tasting machine. Really friendly staff, led by Cordon Bleu trained but Detroit down-to-earth, Eric and friendly, charming waitstaff from all over the country. Salads are also great. Happy hour is the best deal in Beaver Creek: half price on five different tapas dishes, plus $5 wine and beer. Go back again and again -- we did!
(5)Ivan L.
We grabbed dinner at the Met while looking for our wedding venue in Beaver Creek. Holy cow, what a pleasant surprise! The food was absolutely delicious along with awesome drinks (must try the barrel-aged manhattan!). The tacos, tuna sliders, bacon wrapped dates, cake bites - it was all so delicious. Plus the crazy enomatic 16-bottle wine machine they have there, which is not only an awesome conversation piece, but it's a great way to try a bunch of wines rather than having to get a glass at a time. The food and drinks were so good, we decided to throw a happy hour for our guests the day before the wedding. Again, the food was absolutely delicious. They handled our 50+ guests with ease, the food was just as good at scale, the venue fit our group very well (could have taken even more). Service was excellent - Thair served excellent drinks while Kenny and Rob served and kept an eye on everything throughout the afternoon. Chef Steven was a pleasure to work and chat with. Kenny was a pleasure to work with - he kept on eye on our budget to make sure we had enough food for everyone without going crazy. Overall, this was an amazing venue to eat at either on our own or with a giant group. Prices are very reasonable and the food is unmatched in the village. Thanks so much to these folks!!
(5)Ty T.
I dined here during this past ski season at Beaver Creek and was very impressed with the food and ambience. The restaurant was a quick walk down a flight of stairs from our condo in Beaver Creek Village, and it was very lively when I dropped in for a quick bite my first night at the resort. The dining room has a mix of high tables and low ones anchored by a great bar. The wait staff was courteous and helpful; I was grateful they seated me in a warm corner of the restaurant so I could escape the flurries outside. As a Southern Californian, I was unfamiliar with this meteorological phenomenon they call "snow" around these parts, so I immediately ordered the soup du jour which was a warm and hearty chili. It was served with some crusty homemade bread - the best and only kind of bread to eat with chili. Next, I had the potatas bravas. The fingerlings were very well prepared, and the exquisite Manchego cheese complimented the potatoes. Finally, I had the lobster roll which was served with the restaurant's signature balsamic crisps. These potato chips were top-notch, as they were fried to perfection (crunchy but with a slight bit of chewiness) and flavored with a balsamic reduction - a very elegant take on classic salt-and-vinegar crisps. I was less ebullient about the lobster roll, however. The small quantity of lobster filling was such that most bites were purely the Challah bread roll itself. This sandwich would have been better served with a much thinner style of bread given the paltry amount of lobster. Overall, The Metropolitan is a great restaurant serving excellent South American and Asian tapas, as well as American dishes. By the end of my ski trip, it turned out to be one of best meals I had at Beaver Creek.
(4)Brian W.
Hmm mm. Food average to poor. Nice servers. Hideous art on the walls and old farts all over. Seriously messed up toilets/sink combo units... I would pass if I were you. If you go get the arepas or the pork tacos
(2)Rachel M.
Food was mediocre, drinks were great. The bartender was awesome! She was super helpful with menu selections and made us feel welcome. Great service all around but the food was not the best. We ordered the stuffed dates, ahi tuna poke, sweet and sour Brussels sprouts, and the lobster roll. The first three were just ok. The lobster roll was awesome! Definitely would recommend that. The Rocky Mountain mule was delicious too! Don't think the food lived up to the hype of the reviews though.
(3)Kasia B.
Great food, so so atmosphere. On a Thursday in July the place was pretty empty and perhaps for that reason felt more like a cross between a pizza joint and a sports bar. Not the usual atmosphere of a tapas bar. The food, however was delicious. The lobster taco won our vote. The pulled pork arepa, brussel sprouts and caprese salad were also good.
(4)Amy W.
We love tapas and were so happy to find this place in Beaver Creek Village ....unfortunately the food was average at best and our group of 7 had the opportunity to try more than a few menu items. The decor would be fine were it not for the cheesy portraits of music legends. Felt like a prototype of a tourist trap. The best part of the experience were the servers who were excellent. I hope they all find jobs at better restaurants!
(2)Rob N.
My date and I dined here on Saturday night and had a great time. We were impressed my the flavors and portions of the small plates we tried. We both agreed the ahi tuna poke was the best we've had in a while. Prosciutto and date flat bread, sweet and salty sprouts, and the special local peach bread pudding were our other choices. The staff made excellent menu recommendations as we navigated the wine dispenser! Great atmosphere on a busy evening.
(5)Patty S.
I love a great tapas place. This place had a funky vibe and a cool seating arrangement. We ordered every slider and taco they had, along with gnocchi, deviled eggs and some chips. My favorite item was the freshly made deviled egg with pico. All other items were good but lacked a je ne sais quoi. You will enjoy this place for its ambience, wine and cocktails and international menu.
(3)Kurt H.
This was the first and best place we had dinner at in Beaver Creek. The atmosphere was fantastic, service awesome and very personal. And the food.......absolutely the best. You have to try the rabbit stew and the potato salad. We also had the stuffed peppers and brussel sprouts, again, both to die for. This is our #1 spot for a great experience and great for at this resort.
(5)Christine Z.
I am very impressive with this place. The menu is on the exotic side with tapas ranging from Elk Carpaccio to a Rabbit stew or rouge . Tasty tapas good to be shared. We had a great time here tasting a wide range of cousins. They have seasonal menus as well and I happened to have the pleasure to taste the Indian rooted chicken curry soup. Fantastic!!
(5)J D.
Amazing service! The wine was also fantastic and complemented the food well! I would return!
(5)Paul R.
We came to this place because it was highly rated Z The bill was $70 for two postage stamp meals . Im not sure whos writing the reviews. Employees or customers ..
(1)Alex B.
Great Food. Very cool atmosphere, and friendly staff. Try the Scallops, tuna and lobster tacos!
(5)Linds H.
A great variety of small plates that are very yummy! As a local, this is a great quite place to go to, have a glass of wine, some delicious small plates and wonderful service. The service is always super great (Chad was our server and he was super helpful!). Their breakfast is really wonderful as well. I highly recommend eating here while visiting Avon and Beaver Creek!
(5)Matthew P.
Incredible multi cultural fusion tapas restaurant. Everything we had was delicious and we left very full. They also have a solid beer and wine selection.
